TikTok Star Gets Fined After Sending A Golf Ball To The Grand Canyon There are always consequences for your actions. Well, at least she got the clout that she wanted.A 20-year-old TikTok influencer has been fined after posting a video of herself golfing on the edge of the Grand Canyon National Park. Now, anyone would love to see the scenic views of the popular tourist spot with the added bonus of someone doing an action so mundane you’d think it was illegal to do in the park. Spoiler alert: it was. Katie Sigmond, the TikTok star, who can be seen in the video on the edge of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, east of Mather Point, garnered a lot of clout for her stunt. Her video gained virality, but for the wrong reasons. Social media users condemned her for littering as well as endangering people and wildlife because of her stunt. Some people on the Internet who saw her post, which was spread on various platforms such as Reddit, sent some tips to the Grand Canyon law enforcement. The authorities then identified and contacted Sigmond within a day of her posting the golfing video. Sigmond got 3 federal violation notices, which serve as tickets issued by the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service. The social media personality was charged with three Class B misdemeanors as detailed under Title 36 in the Code of Federal Regulations. These are for throwing items into the Canyon (such as her golf club and ball), littering, and creating hazardous conditions with disorderly conduct. Sigmond was ordered to pay a $285 fine, which the star did. Image credit: Josh Sorenson#GrandCanyon #nationalparks #fines #disorderlyconduct #TikTok #KatieSigmond
Sports Teams, ESPN, NFL, and Others Comment on Ohio Heath Teacher's Tik Tok to Get His Students Out of an ExamJosh Chasteen, a health teacher at Lebanon Junior High, became TikTok-famous.In 2019, Josh Chasteen, a health education teacher, started a  TikTok account at his students' requests. Chasteen noted that he has found it hard to balance his teaching life and TikTok life. He suggested this was because it was challenging to create not cringe-worthy, yet fun content that his young audience would find relatable. In one of his videos, Chasteen told his audience that he would cancel a major exam for students if a pro sports team left a comment on his video. After a few hours, the Detroit Lions commented, "Roll out the TV cart." Obviously suggesting that Josh gives the students a free day instead of having them take the exam. Eventually, Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Mavericks also commented. Chasteen tried to brush off the attention. However, when ESPN, NFL, and the Olympics commented, even Chasteen himself started to geek out.In the end, the students got what they wanted. Instead of taking an exam on the muscular system, they played games together. Chasteen was later invited to appear on ESPN's Sports Center about this viral moment.#JoshChasteen #TikTok #LebanonJuiorHigh #ESPN #NFL #Olympics #DetroitLions #DallasMavericks #ArizonaCardinals #SportsImage credit: Josh Chasteen
TikTok Musician Tyzo Bloom Played Red Hot Chili Peppers' 'Can't Stop' using Actual Red Hot Chili PeppersThis is the advanced form of hitting glasses filled with water to produce music. Imagine recreating that experiment only with chili peppers!TikTok musician Casey Chen (AKA Tyzo Bloom) showcased his creativity and musical inclinations with his [actual] chili peppers rendition of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Can’t Stop. The process in this endeavor is much more complicated than hitting glass bottles, though. Chen plugged his chili peppers to his computer, using them to play certain pre-recorded notes from the band’s iconic song. #Music #RedHotChiliPeppers #TyzoBloom #CantStop #TikTok #ChiliPepper
