The 2022 Razzie Award WinnersThe Golden Raspberry Awards, affectionately known as the Razzies, are always announced the night before the Academy Awards. They are designed to recognize the worst in cinema from the previous year. This year's winners, like the Oscars, are very likely to be from movies you've not seen, or maybe never even heard of. But they are always fun to know about. The movies that dominated the Razzie awards this year were the Netflix streaming film Diana: The Musical, which won in five categories, and Space Jam: A New Legacy, which won three. Diana: The Musical was graced with a Razzie for Worst Picture, plus Worst Actress for Jeanna de Waal as Diana, Worst Supporting Actress for Judy Kaye who played two characters, Worst Director Christopher Ashley, and Worst Screenplay. Space Jam: A New Legacy won the Razzies for Worst Actor (LeBron James), Worst Screen Couple (LeBron James with any cartoon character), and Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel. Jared Leto got a Razzie as Worst Supporting Actor for his role in House of Gucci. The special category this year for Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie went to the movie Cosmic Sin. Bruce Willis Dominates Razzie Nominations by Getting His Own CategoryThe nominations for the annual Golden Raspberry Awards were announced this morning. The Razzies are bestowed every year on the night before the Academy Awards and will recognize the very worst of cinema of 2021. Diana the Musical leads the pack with nine nominations. The nominees for Worst Picture are: Diana the Musical (The Netflix Version), Infinite, Karen, Space Jam: A New Legacy, and The Woman in the Window. You will be forgiven if you haven't seen -or even heard of- these movies. The nominees for Worst Actor and Actress and Supporting Actor and Actress are mostly taken from those five films. There are other categories like Worst Screen Couple, but the big news is a special category created for 2022: Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie. Apparently he was busy during the pandemic.
