An Honest Trailer for House of the DragonThe producers of Game of Thrones noticed that the audiences was fascinated by the Targaryens, so they made an entire series about them, set way before the timeline of Game of Thrones. But what was the audience really focused on? Was it the dragons, the blonde hair, or the incest? It doesn't matter; we get lots more of all three in the new series House of the Dragon, which recently concluded its first season. Screen Junkies does what they do best, highlighting all the tropes and overdone features in this show about "goth albino sociopaths," but they had no serious criticism of the show overall, so that means they liked it. If they didn't, this Honest Trailer would have been much harsher.#HonestTrailer #HouseoftheDragon #GameofThrones
House of the Dragon has a TrailerAfter the success of Game of Thrones, which made a billion dollars, HBO is stepping back 300 years for a prequel series in the same fantasy universe called House of the Dragon. The series' first trailer is out today. Based on George R.R. Martin's 2018 novel Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon follows the ancient Targaryen ruling family, who are known for their ruthlessness and penchant for incest. (As an aside, Martin learned nothing from the Hapsburgs, or we'd never get characters as gorgeous as Daenerys Targaryen or Jon Snow.) The series will star Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, and Matt Smith, plus we assume a few dozen other actors in important roles if the show is good enough for more than one season. House of the Dragon will premiere August 21. -via Geeks Are Sexy#trailer #HouseoftheDragon
A Guide to HBO's House of the DragonThe HBO series Game of Thrones enthralled audiences for seven seasons, and then dropped the ball wrapping up the story in the eighth. Some blame rushing the story, while others fault George R.R. Martin for not completing the source books. Still, those seven seasons have audiences clamoring for more about the fictional world of dynasties and dragons from the book series A Song of Ice and Fire. To fulfill that desire, the producers are stepping back 200 years for a prequel series called House of the Dragon. The most important thing to know about House of the Dragon is that it is based on Martin's finished book Fire & Blood: 300 Years Before A Game of Thrones, so there should be a cohesive plot. It's your choice whether or not to read the book before the series comes out. However, the difference between 200 years and 300 years may inform you of the creative license the TV production will take.
