If any of the characters from The Addams Family can carry a TV series on their own, it would be Wednesday. And so she shall. Netflix unveiled the first teaser for it new series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, who earns her stripes as the spookiest young teen on TV. You know Ortega from her roles in the movie Scream and the TV series You. Catherine Zeta-Jones will play her mother Morticia, and Christina Ricci, the original cinematic Wednesday, makes a special appearance. The teaser sets up the premise that Wednesday is such a troublemaker that she is sent off to the boarding school where her parents met. Nevermore Academy is a specialized school that resembles Hogwarts for the homicidally-inclined. The eight-episode limited series is executive-produced by Tim Burton, who directed four of the episodes. We don't have a premiere date for Wednesday, but it will be available in the fall of 2022.
