Lots of paper. Lots of pens. And tons of patience. These are an artist’s basic needs if he wants to make hand-drawn animation.
While hand-drawn animation is already a challenging work of art, tattoo artist Phil Berge made things even harder for himself. He made an animation not through images drawn on paper, but through tattoos — 76 tattoos, to be exact. Just imagine the number of hours spent drawing every image! Now that’s dedication.
The result is as great as the challenge, however.
What a masterpiece!

@philberge Finally! I made a total of 76 tattoos to create this scene from Betty Boop Snow White. A huge thank you to everyone that got tattooed for this project. #fyp #tattoo #tattoos #animation #stopmotion #fleischerstudios #cabcalloway #fleischer
