It seems we've been hearing about this movie for years, and we finally get a look in the first trailer. Tom Cruise returns for the seventh Mission: Impossible film, which people forget was based on a 1960s TV series. Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One was announced in 2019, then downplayed, then reorganized, then filmed in bits and pieces due to the pandemic. The production has been plagued by legal disputes, covid outbreaks, and on-set accidents.
Cruise says not a word in the trailer, but we get some action: a car chase, a horse chase, a motorcycle chase, a train chase, and some explosions on top of all that. Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One will be in theaters on July 14, 2023. Yes, over a year from now. This is the fifth announced release date. Part Two is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2024, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it being on schedule. -via Geeks Are Sexy ā
