Meet the Violinmaster Telecaster Relic, a limited edition release by Fender Custom Shop. Fender Custom Shop is dedicated to producing special-order guitars and limited edition high-end quality instruments. The newest addition to their lineup was inspired by the famous “Gibson-Huberman” Stradivarius violin, which is currently owned by Grammy award-winning violinist Joshua Bell.
Bell let the custom shop’s master builder Yuriy Shishkov examine the instrument to create the limited edition guitar. Shishkov did his best to pay tribute to the 300-year-old violin! The guitar was made from the same materials and sources with which the Stradivarius was built. In addition, the guitar’s flame maple body has a carved “Stradivari” spruce top with proportionally scaled Stradivarius violin f-holes and purfling.
