Hasbro Will Turn You Into an Action Figure
Molding toys was once a story of scale. It was only worth the trouble if you knew you could sell millions of them. But now 3D printing makes custom fabricating a one-time object nor only feasible, but fun. Hasbro has taken that idea to heart, and now offers you the opportunity to have an action figure made that looks just like you! Okay, we know what you'd like- your face on an action figure from your favorite comic book or movie. The Hasbro Selfie Series is doing just that. It's not just 3D printing making this possible. Your face can be scanned through Hasbros' phone app. The six-inch custom figure will run you only $60. A few lucky folks will have an opportunity to be scanned for the Selfie Series at Comic Con next week. However, it will probably takes months for the finished product to arrive. This Educational Toy Combines a Rubix Cube and a 3D Maze
The ‘Maze and Cube’, an educational toy designed by Yang yang Tu, incorporates the challenge of completing a 3D maze into the already challenging task of completing a Rubik’s cube. This ingenious toy increases playability and aims to satisfy the curiosity of its users. The maze changes as users rotate the cube and allows for an increased variety of statuses and possibilities. Players can complete the challenge in three ways: rolling the steel ball in the cube to reach the terminal point, restoring the Rubik’s cube, or completing both at the same time. “This toy provides a motivation for the development of [the] right brain and memory ability,” the designers say. It can also improve the eye-hand coordination and the spatial thinking of children, whilst also stimulating their curiosity. The Maze and Cube was a project that started in March 2017 and was completed in July 2017 at the Zhejiang University of Technology in China. It has since then won in the A’Design Award & Competition for the category of ‘Toy, Games and Hobby Products Design’ in 2017-2018.#rubikscube #maze #educational #toy #innovative #challenge #projects #hobby Image: A'Design Award & Competition
