Starbucks Plans To Shift to Communal Coffee Cups by 2025By 2025, a Starbucks visit would require you to bring your own personal cup to be refilled or use the coffeehouse’s “planet positive goal” for the future — a communal coffee cup.Starbucks announced in a press release that they plan to get rid of single-use cups in favor of an all-reusable model by promoting personal cups to be refilled or offering communal cups that customers would be instructed to return upon their next visit. Those communal coffee cups would be cleaned at the store and provided to other guests, who would in turn repeat the process.
"Are You Okay?": When a Stranger Started Talking to an 18-Year-Old Girl, Starbucks Baristas Slipped Her a Coffee Cup with a Secret MessageAn 18-year-old was saved from the attention of an unknown man in a Texas Starbucks thanks to the baristas that interfered. These employees noticed the teenager was being approached by a stranger. One of the baristas handed the girl “an extra hot chocolate someone forgot to pick up” after the stranger started talking to her. There was a handwritten note on the cup that said: “are you okay? Do you want us to intervene? If you do, take the lid off the cup.” The teenager’s mother, Brandy Roberson shared the story on her Facebook account with the photo of the note. "She was holding the cup and knew that I would love that someone did that for her," Roberson wrote. "It made me feel so grateful that the Starbucks employees were watching out for her. As a mom, that is my worst fear that something would happen to my child and nobody would be there to help."Image credit: Brandy Selim Roberson / Facebook#Starbucks #gooddeeds #secretmessage #coffee
