Images of Queen Elizabeth Projected onto Stonehenge for Platinum Jubilee
Joining the entire commonwealth to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, Stonehenge displayed Her Majesty’s images onto its surfaces. Ahead of the 70th Jubilee celebration, seven photos from each decade of the queen’s reigning era were projected onto the prehistoric landmark. Some of the photos show the queen in her full monarchy regalia; some were from private moments such as the queen walking her beloved corgis."We wanted to show different aspects of the Queen -- of her personality, of her interests and really show what a special lady she is," said English Heritage, the Stonehenge’s official custodian, in a statement.Image: EH_Stonehenge/Twitter#QueenElizabeth #Stonehenge #PlatinumJubilee #corgi
