In fact, the marmalade-loving bear got to meet the queen herself at Buckingham Palace.The rare “sight” was part of the ongoing festivities surrounding the Platinum Jubilee weekend. Decked in his usual blue coat and red cap, Paddington sat down for a cup of tea across from the queen. Soon, the unlikely duo found they shared the same love for marmalade sandwiches, which the queen carried around “for emergency” inside her purse.The short video of the meeting was screened in front of the crowd gathering outside of Buckingham Palace prior to the concert closing out the weekend’s festivities. The charming vignette ends with a segue into Queen's "We Will Rock You." The film was a surprise to the audience, as it was recorded much earlier and kept under wraps. Queen Elizabeth did not attend the concert herself due to health concerns, but everyone else was sure she was there in spirit.
