Ranking All The Winners Of The Album Of The Year At The Grammy AwardsThe Grammy Awards is a show that is recognized as the most prestigious and significant accolade to be given to musicians worldwide. Presented by the Recording Academy of the United States, the winners are usually regarded as the best of the best. Hell, even being nominated is already an honor on its own.One of the main awards given in the event is Album of the Year. Usually, they’d crown the best of the best for that year, however, you’ll probably see some discourse online now on how it wasn’t really a good choice. So far, the Grammys have handed this award to 64 winners. There seems to be a progression in how the academy members chose in terms of genres: from jazz and vocals to rock to pop and to hip-hop. Billboard provides its ranking on the winners of the prestigious award, seeing how all of these albums stack up against one another. If you weren’t born yet during that period of time, that’s fine– you can still listen to this and bop to the 600 tunes that were mixed and laid out chronologically, from 1990 until 1999.Even if some of the songs aren’t to your taste, we can all appreciate the smooth transition from one song to another, as if it’s just one big 34-minute song. “Every song has been tempo matched, beat synced, harmonized and spliced together perfectly. Honestly, it's a work of genius,” Don Turner commented on the upload. And he is absolutely right. #nineties #nostalgia #music #remix #YouTube

The Perfect Playlist for Your Halloween PartyYou have the guest list and the party snacks ready- what music will you play for the Halloween party? Well, there's "Thriller," and "Monster Mash," and... that's about it. Or maybe that's all you can think of, but there are plenty of great songs that will set the right ambience. You just haven't thought about them because either they weren't marketed specifically for Halloween, or else they weren't played to death on the radio. The A.V. Club collected 15 songs about ghosts, witches, vampires, serial killers, and zombies that total an hour of continuous music. The oldest one among them came out in 1980. Each gives us a description and a music video, and they are also listed in a Spotify playlist.   #Halloween #songs #music
TikTok Musician Tyzo Bloom Played Red Hot Chili Peppers' 'Can't Stop' using Actual Red Hot Chili PeppersThis is the advanced form of hitting glasses filled with water to produce music. Imagine recreating that experiment only with chili peppers!TikTok musician Casey Chen (AKA Tyzo Bloom) showcased his creativity and musical inclinations with his [actual] chili peppers rendition of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Can’t Stop. The process in this endeavor is much more complicated than hitting glass bottles, though. Chen plugged his chili peppers to his computer, using them to play certain pre-recorded notes from the band’s iconic song. #Music #RedHotChiliPeppers #TyzoBloom #CantStop #TikTok #ChiliPepper
ABBA Announces New Album and Holographic ConcertAlmost 50 years after the group formed, and almost 40 years since their retirement, ABBA is back! The Swedish supergroup announced they are working on a new album called Voyage, which is being recorded right now. The album was actually an afterthought, because the original plan was just to do a concert -as holograms, with the help of Industrial Light & Magic- in London next year. The album came about as they were working on material for the concert.“We simply call it Voyage and we’re truly sailing in uncharted waters. With the help of our younger selves, we travel into the future. It’s not easy to explain but then it hasn’t been done before. It’s hard to say what’s been the most joyful thing for me with this project. If it’s the involvement in creating the concert together with everyone or being back in the studio together again after 40 years. I think hearing Frida and Agnetha singing again is hard to beat. When you come to the arena you will have the four of us together with an absolutely glorious 10-piece band. And even if not in the flesh, we will be right there, thanks to the work of the creative team and ILM.”It sounds as if the concert will be more than just music, while being less than a personal appearance. Abba's album Voyage will be in stores November 5, and the concert will be on May 27, 2022.#ABBA #music #concert #hologram
"Edge of Seventeen": An Anthem that Stuns Each New GenerationStevie Nicks was already an integral part of Fleetwood Mac's success when she released her first solo album,Bella Donna, in 1981. The LP gave us several hits, but "Edge of Seventeen" proved to be a monster. Between the edgy, rocking music, the angsty yet mysterious lyrics, and Nicks' magical aura that powered its delivery, the song has a phenomenal staying power."This song is 40 years old and yet generation after generation refer back to it," says music journalist Leonie Cooper. "It never sounds dated, always fresh and exciting. Is it disco? Is it rock? Does it even matter?" Edge of Seventeen's genre-spanning appeal was underlined in 2001 when R&B girl-group Destiny's Child repurposed its riff for their single Bootylicious, which became a US number one hit. Nicks endorsed the sample by making an elegant appearance in the music video. As band members Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams come into view at the start, Nicks can also be seen strumming a guitar.Nearly two decades later, Miley Cyrus trailed her 2020 album Plastic Hearts with Midnight Sky, a shimmering pop-rock stomper that subtly interpolated Edge of Seventeen. "I actually had this song blessed by Stevie Nicks, because there is a kind of a nod to Edge of Seventeen in this song," Cyrus said on the Zach Sang Show shortly after Midnight Sky's release. Nicks later gave Cyrus another blessing by singing on Edge of Midnight, a mashup of Midnight Sky and Edge of Seventeen that made Cyrus' nod to the Nicks song more obvious.Read the story of "Edge of Seventeen" from 1980 until today, at BBC Culture. You will be quite amused at how the song really got its title.#StevieNicks #FleetwoodMac #music #rockandroll
