The <a href="https://competition.adesignaward.com/design.php?ID=58704" class="on">‘Maze and Cube’</a>, an educational toy designed by Yang yang Tu, incorporates the challenge of completing a 3D maze into the already challenging task of completing a Rubik’s cube. This ingenious toy increases playability and aims to satisfy the curiosity of its users.	The maze changes as users rotate the cube and allows for an increased variety of statuses and possibilities. Players can complete the challenge in three ways: rolling the steel ball in the cube to reach the terminal point, restoring the Rubik’s cube, or completing both at the same time.&nbsp;	“This toy provides a motivation for the development of [the] right brain and memory ability,” the designers say. It can also improve the eye-hand coordination and the spatial thinking of children, whilst also stimulating their curiosity.&nbsp;	The Maze and Cube was a project that started in March 2017 and was completed in July 2017 at the Zhejiang University of Technology in China.
