Sofia Jirau is the First Victoria's Secret Model with Down SyndromeThe new Victoria's Secret Love Cloud Collection features a new range of undergarments with new inclusive sizes. That focus on inclusivity has driven the company in a new marketing direction: instead of supermodels with angel wings, Victoria's Secret has a new cast of diverse women from all walks of life.Sofia Jirau of Puerto Rico has made history as the first Victoria's Secret model with Down syndrome. The 24-year-old model wrote on her Instagram profile in Spanish, "One day I dreamed of it, I worked on it and today it is a dream come true. I can finally tell you my big secret ...I am the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down syndrome!"Jirau launched her modeling career in 2019 in Puerto Rico, launched a fashion store "Alavett" - a bilingual play on words based on her favorite phrase "I love it"- and  made her debut at the 2020 New York Fashion Week. To demonstrate that people with Down syndrome can achieve their goals despite of their conditions, Jirau has launched a Spanish-language campaign called "Sin Limites" or "No Limits." And her achievement as the first Victoria's Secret model with Down syndrome certainly another proof of Jirau's conviction.#SofiaJirau #VictoriasSecret #model #inclusivity #DownSyndrome
