Here Comes Lorcana, Disney's New Collectible Trading Card GameWhen you hear the words "trading card game," there might be three things that might come to your mind: Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, and The Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG). (And before you ask, the answer is yes. Pokemon has a trading card game). The TCGs listed above were the top 3 best-selling for over a few years.Now, a new competitor is coming to town, and it's someone you least expect. That someone is Disney.The company recently released its own trading card game called Lorcana. Like trading card games before, Lorcana features its own cast of characters from its source, in this case, Disney lore.The first seven cards of the game were revealed at the D23 convention in Anaheim, California. The release featured Elsa from Frozen, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, and Stitch from Lilo & Stitch.The first set of cards will be released in the fall of 2023, under the name "Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter."Will it be a successful competitor to the likes of Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon? It Now Will Cost You Even More To Visit a Disney Park in CaliforniaIt seems that you will need to save a few more dollars if you want to visit the Disneyland California Adventure Park. Disneyland officials have recently confirmed that they have increased ticket prices at an average of 8%. One-day tickets now range from $104-$179, compared to the previous range of $104-164. The theme park have also added a "Tier 0" in their tier scheme. This ticket will be valid "on the least crowded days of the year."The last price increase in years also happened on the same month last year. Lara Nunan is a Marvel and cartoon superfan, and she was able to name 88 Marvel characters in a minute and 102 cartoon characters in one minute as well!Nunan broke the previous records which were previously 55 for most Marvel characters identified in one minute and 50 for the most cartoon characters identified in one minute. She set the bar so high that it might be impossible for the set numbers to be beaten again!
