Tic Tac Sent Its Breath Mints Into Space

Tic Tac has sent out its own minty ‘UFOs’ into space, hopping on the recent UFO trend that has been sweeping internet culture. This event took place earlier in August but caught the internet’s attention after the company posted a video of its minty capsules in space with Earth as the backdrop.

People on the internet have used the term ‘tictac’ to describe a UFO spotted by the US military that resembled the iconic shape of the breath mints. It was then only a matter of time before the company took advantage of this nickname and sent out its own mint-shaped UFO into space.

Customers were given the chance to send out messages regarding the breath fresheners to be flashed on the vessel’s built-in screen, allowing nearby aliens or other extraterrestrial life forms to learn about the minty contents of the space vessel. The ‘UFO’ was also loaded with limited-edition Tic Tac packs, which 100 people will be given the chance to win.

Sent Into Space used high-altitude balloons to send the small capsule into space, resulting in the very amusing video Tic Tac shared on its Twitter account today. The space flight lasted just under three hours. Tic Tac says that 100 people have the chance to get one of the space Tic Tac packs by following instructions that’ll be posted on the brand’s social media accounts.
