The Guardians are back in the third movie under their name and the 32nd movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. While the gang is still quick with a joke and sarcastic banter, there is a heavy reliance on emotion in the first trailer. This trailer also dispenses with the bouncy '70s music, which gives it a heavier feel as well. All we know about the plot is that the fate of the universe rests on the Guardians, and that we will learn Rocket's backstory.
