To promote the new Garfield movie, the Motel 6 chain of technically habitable motels created several rooms decorated with the famous cartoon cat, now voiced by Chris Pratt instead of the late, great Lorenzo Music.
Comic Book Resources reports that locations in seven states offer these rooms decorated with Garfield paraphernalia, whom Motel 6 has appointed to the ceremonial position of "Chief Pet Officer." You can see photos captured by Twitter user Quinton Reviews here.
Why are there pizza comforters? Daniel Kibblesmith speculates that the movie studio found that kids are more interested in pizza than lasagna, so that is now the focus of Garfield's culinary interest.
