The popcorn bucket designed for Dune: Part 2 was discussed for weeks because of its (possibly unintentional) provocative design. The publicity did not go over the heads of the creative people behind the upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine. And by "creative people," I'm thinking of Ryan Reynolds.
Today, the design of the special edition popcorn bucket to accompany Deadpool & Wolverine was unveiled on social media in posts by Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), and director Shawn Levy. It is in the shape of Wolverine's head. And his mouth is where you stick your hand in to get the popcorn. Maybe not quite as prurient as the design of the Dune bucket, but it's funny, and that goes a long way in marketing. Deadpool & Wolverine opens on July 26.
