The 50 Worst Decisions in the History of Television

Every day, television executive and producers are making decisions about what people will watch on TV. Should we greenlight this weird idea? How much money should we invest in it? Who to hire, who to fire? What direction do we want to take this project? What's going to be the "next big thing"? Do we take a chance, or play it safe? Should we keep going and hope for the best, or cut our losses now? One executive admitted that with so many decisions to make, you can expect that half of them will be bad. But sometimes those bad decisions become big news stories, or even change history. Other times they lead to just disappointing the audience or a loss of money.

Rolling Stone compiled a list of the 50 worst decisions in TV history, with the reasoning behind each -or at least the public excuse. You may argue with the rankings, and you might think of others that should be included, but you can't argue that these were poor choices made by someone somewhere along the line. -via Fark ā€‹
