Deep in the archives of WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, a news report from the 1970 teacher's strike was unearthed. The news team pulled it out to add context to a recent story on teachers, but a producer thought a child who was interviewed back then looked familiar. Was it Prince? Everyone thought so, but to confirm the boy's identity, they had to track down his school pictures and childhood friends, an investigation which is a story unto itself.
Oh yeah, we all recognized him, but you can't just air an assumption on TV, at least if you want to be known as a reputable new organization. There are no known film clips of Prince before he was a teenager, so this incident is a story of pure serendipity. -via Digg
