Sometimes it is fun to take a quick look back at great ad campaigns from days gone by. The Skittles "Blank the Rainbow" ad campaign, is often viewed as one of the oddest and most delectable confections in advertising. Today we see how, in the mid-2000s, a product truth mixed with a cultural understanding of millennial adolescents led to a succession of popular and absurdist advertisements from TBWAChiatDay NY. We also see how, a decade later, DDB resurrected that spirit in two subversive Super Bowl pranks.
