New preliminary stamps announced for the U.S. Postal Service 2022 stamp program include a Forever stamp celebrating author and illustrator Shel Silverstein.
The stamp was designed by U.S. Postal Service stamp designer Derry Noyes and features a cover illustration of Silverstein's "The Giving Tree." The stamp depicts a boy trying to catch a fallen apple—a familiar and often nostalgic image to many Americans. Like Silverstein's legacy, this Forever stamp has no expiry date.
Other beautiful and collection-worthy stamps announced for the program include the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, Monument Valley on the Arizona-Utah border, an orange African daisy, and some Mariachi musicians.
