New Titanic LEGO Model Commemorates the 110th Anniversary of the Launch of the Ill-Fated Ship in 1911

Meet the largest LEGO model created (so far)!

The new Titanic LEGO model is a faithful recreation of the legendary cruise liner at a 1:2000 scale. Composed of a whopping 9000 LEGO blocks, the company managed to create a toy ship that features the ship’s bridge, promenade deck, and swimming pool.

The LEGO Titanic is a working model and one can raise the anchor as well as adjust the tension line between masts upon building the piece. While expensive, the build is detailed, interesting, and engaging enough for fans and enthusiasts. A review praises the build’s dedication to elaborate set pieces and details.

"The geometry for the hull shaping is magnificent, and the deck details seem closer to a fan creation than an official model, which is the best praise I can give them. At more than $600, it’s certainly not going to be for everyone. And while the price is steep, you’ll get a lot of bang for your buck, with the price-per-piece coming out at just under $0.07, far cheaper than similarly priced licensed sets, though a bit above 10276 Colosseum."
