The minute that Kamala Harris emerged as the Democratic candidate for the 2024 presidential election, fans were clamoring to see her portrayed on Saturday Night Live by Maya Rudolph. Rudolph, an SNL regular cast member from 2000 to 2007, returned as a guest to play Harris in the run-up to and aftermath of the 2020 election, which won her two Emmy Awards. NBC was affirmed that Rudolph will work with SNL through the rest of 2024.
Rudolph has her own TV show called Loot, which is shot in Los Angeles. Universal Television has announced that the shooting for season three of Loot has been postponed until January, allowing Rudolph to relocate to New York City.
