Kaneda's bike was an iconic image found in the sci-fi movie Akira, released in 1988. Concept artist Ryan Hong reinterpreted the bright red motorcycle with a contemporary perspective, including a GPS system.
Despite taking a modern approach, Hong kept the overall structure aerodynamic. The air is redirected from the front wheel opening out to the sides of the body, and there’s an air intake that cools the upper battery. Moreover, there are also two swappable batteries that have their own heat ventilation system, preventing overheating both battery sets.
Hong also made a black version for this!
