If "The Call of Cthulhu" Had Been Written and Illustrated by Dr. Seuss

This book has been out for a few years, but is recent news to me. Chaosium, the publishing company responsible for The Call of Cthulhu role-playing game, published this adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's seminal horror story.

R.J. Ivankovic wrote and illustrated this version in the visual and poetical style of Dr. Seuss. Although some of Dr. Seuss's works were dark and had adult themed, none drove readers to sheer madness.

Once I heard of this book, I immediately requested a copy through interlibrary loan. Having recently read the source material, I'm impressed with how faithful it is to Lovecraft's story. It's maddeningly good.
