The Super Mario Bros. Movie was fun, but what if it had a little logic injected into it? Well, with the help of the folks at How It Should Have Ended, we see it would be just as fun, but in a different way, one that highlights how implausible the movie, and the games it is based on, really are. I mean really, why should the apes fight for the Princess? Why can't the penguins fully harness their powers? And why shouldn't Bowser win in the end? The movie (and Jack Black) made him the most interesting character, even strangely likable. But in the movie version, the way you always saw that world while playing the game sticks with you more than a logical sequence of events.
This video did an amazing job recreating the voices from the film, especially those of Jack Black and Seth Rogan. We also see cameos of Link and Zelda, the Joker, Voldemort, Darth Vader, and others. This video is only 5:30, the rest is an ad.
