Bill Murray Sings in Washington Square Park in a Surprise Musical Performance

Our favorite lovable gruff just melted winter chill around Washington Square Park in New York City. Bill Murray was recently spotted in the park performing a surprise rendition of old classics such as “I Feel Pretty” and “It Ain’t Necessarily So”. The “Ghostbusters” star was accompanied by cellist Jan Vogler, violinist Mira Wang, and pianist Vanessa Perez - all his frequent collaborators - during the act.

General public and famous faces alike gathered around to watch him twirl while singing “America” from “West Side Story” and recited “Dog” by beat poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Among them were former “Real Housewife” Carole Radziwill and Karen Duffy, Murray’s producer on “New Worlds”, a brand-new documentary on him. The pleasant performance came to an abrupt halt when the cops told them to pack up. However, it seemed the charm still lingered in the air a bit longer.
