The Super Mario Bros. Movie opened in theaters about six weeks ago, and has already brought in more than a billion dollars. The animated film is still playing in theaters, but is also available to stream, so it's already time for an Honest Trailer. Do Screen Junkies like this movie as much as the audience does? There was a lot of criticism of Chris Pratt's voice playing Mario with no hint of an Italian accent before the film premiered, but that seems to have turned out to be insignificant. What they did right was make The Super Mario Bros. Movie a film for children that retro gamers can also enjoy. And because so many people who grew up playing Super Mario Bros. are parents now, that translates into success for a kid's film. Screen Junkies has some criticism, but not nearly as much as you would expect.
