Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 brought us back to the characters we loved so much from the first two movies, and gave them a new enemy who's a lot like their other enemies. That sounds like a typical second sequel, in which the film is made for a pre-qualified audience of Guardians fans. Ho hum. But that's only half of it. The other half is the addition of lots of children and animals to make it all seem cute, warm, and fuzzy, and then it rips your heart into shreds by torturing these animals and children.
Viewers liked Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and it made a lot of money, just not as much as expected. It is the last movie in the series, but some of the actors expressed a willingness to take their characters into other Marvel stories. Volume 3 is already available as a digital download from Disney, and will be available on DVD and Blue-Ray on August first, and will stream on Disney+ beginning on August 2.
